Hearty Snacks
Snacks are part of the daily rhythm in Strata Before and After School programs and support energy, focus, and connection. Nutritious snacks are provided each day and are intentionally integrated into the afternoon routine rather than treated as a break from it. Snack time offers opportunities for social interaction, conversation, and shared responsibility. Students practice routines such as preparing their space, cleaning up, and engaging respectfully with peers, reinforcing independence and community norms in a natural setting. When appropriate, cooking and food-based activities are incorporated as hands-on enrichment experiences. These moments allow students to explore basic food science, follow multi-step processes, and collaborate with peers while building curiosity and practical skills. Snacks remain grounded in care, routine, and learning without becoming a separate instructional block.

Experienced Staff
Strata Before and After School programs are led by experienced educators and program leaders who prioritize consistency, relationships, and thoughtful supervision. Low staff turnover allows children to see familiar faces each day and build trust over time, which is essential for engagement, comfort, and belonging. Educators approach their work with intention and care. They create inclusive environments where children feel respected, supported, and known. Staff focus on building positive group culture, supporting peer relationships, and helping students navigate the social and emotional dynamics of the school-age years. Safety and preparedness are foundational. All staff are CPR and First Aid certified and participate in ongoing training throughout the year. Professional development supports best practices in supervision, behavior guidance, enrichment facilitation, and child development, ensuring programs remain responsive and well-run. Families entrust Strata with an important part of their child’s day. Our teams take that responsibility seriously and work collaboratively to create a stable, supportive environment where children can learn, connect, and grow.
